Overview
As a medical office/surgical center Manager in a busy surgical practice, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare facility. You’ll lead a dedicated team, manage daily administrative tasks, and oversee fiscal management while fostering an environment that prioritizes patient care and staff collaboration. Your expertise in medical office management will be essential in maintaining compliance with regulations and enhancing the overall efficiency of our practice.

What you’ll do

Supervise daily operations of the medical office and surgical center, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.
Manage financial aspects including budgeting, fiscal management, and financial reporting to optimize resource allocation.
Oversee human resources functions such as recruitment, training, and performance evaluations to build a strong team.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems effectively to enhance patient management.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to streamline practice management processes and improve patient outcomes.
Implement policies and procedures that align with JCAHO (Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations) standards.
Ensuring regulatory compliance with governing bodies for the surgical center.
Develop an online presence and actively market the practice to the referral base.

Basic qualifications

Minimum Bachelor's degree is required
Proven experience in medical office/surgical management or clinic administration.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare regulations.
Experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Telus Practice Solutions and Epic or similar

Preferred qualifications

Background in nursing or acute care settings is a plus.
Familiarity with financial management practices including budgeting and fiscal oversight.
Previous supervisory experience in a healthcare or dental office environment.
Knowledge of Ophthalmic, or surgical care is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 – 40 per week
