Foothills Dentistry In the SE (3711 61 AVE SE) is looking for a hygienist to work at our office 3 days a week, and one Saturday a month. Looking to have this position start May 2 ,2025.

Hours that the hygienist would work are :

Mondays: 9:15am-5:00pm

Wednesdays: 12:00pm-7:00pm

Fridays : 9:15am-5:00pm

Saturdays: 9:00am-4:00pm - (ONE SATURDAY A MONTH (every second Saturday of the month)

Responsibilities:

- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning teeth, taking X-rays, and applying fluoride treatments
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and provide recommendations for at-home care
- Assist the dentist during procedures and maintain a sterile and organized work environment
- Document patient treatment plans, progress, and any relevant information in patient records
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient and effective patient care

Skills:
- Dental Assisting: Proficient in assisting the dentist during procedures and handling dental instruments
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service and ensure patient satisfaction
- Dentrix: Familiarity with Dentrix software for scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and billing
- Orthodontics: Knowledge of orthodontic procedures and techniques- Itero scanning

Requirements:
- Valid dental hygienist license in ALBERTA
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate patient records
- Strong knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and best practices
- Ability to work well in a team environment
