Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Dentist to join our dynamic dental practice on Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing high-quality dental care and will work closely with our team to ensure patient satisfaction. This role involves performing a variety of dental procedures, educating patients on oral health, and maintaining a welcoming environment for all.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive dental examinations and assessments for patients of all ages.
- Perform a range of dental procedures including fillings, extractions, crowns, and root canals.
- Utilize dental software such as Oryx for patient records management and scheduling.
- Collaborate with dental hygienists and assistants to provide exceptional patient care.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and treatment options.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology and advancements in dentistry.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the dental office environment.
- Work effectively with pediatric and geriatric patients, ensuring a comfortable experience for patients of all ages in the practice.
Requirements
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid Ontario dental license to practice dentistry.
- Previous experience in a dental office setting is preferred, demonstrating familiarity with office protocols and patient management systems.
- Proficiency in using Epic or similar electronic health record systems is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
