Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. Duties
- Perform thorough dental prophylaxis, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth to promote optimal oral health.
- Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to inform treatment plans.
- Take X-rays while adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to foster long-term health habits.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records, treatment notes, and medical histories within electronic medical record.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality and handling sensitive information appropriately.
- Support the dental team by managing sterilization processes, maintaining infection control standards, and ensuring a sterile environment.
- Stay informed about current dental terminology, procedures, and advancements in dental technology to continually improve patient care quality.
Qualifications
- Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist.
- Proven experience in general dentistry settings.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques.
- Experience with digital X-ray taking.
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse age groups.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and security of patient information.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, and basic medical records management.
