Job Overview
We are looking for a Dental Hygienist with a positive and outgoing attitude, exceptional clinical hygiene skills, and one who will provide gentle care to our patients. Duties will include all aspects of Dental Hygiene including, but not limited to, sterilization, diagnostics and clear and concise communication with both patients and the rest of the team members.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess the oral health of patients.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Document patient care and treatment plans accurately in the electronic health record system.
- Assist the dentist during procedures by providing necessary tools and support.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure optimal patient care and satisfaction.
- Provide exceptional customer service to all patients, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
Requirements
- Valid provincial license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
- Experience in a dental office setting is preferred; familiarity with Dentrix software is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
Hours would be Thursdays from 12pm-8pm, Fridays from 8am-4pm, and one or two Saturdays per month from 9am-3pm.
