Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental hygiene care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction while promoting good oral health practices. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for patient care.
Please note that we currently have a open position for Friday and Saturday at our existing Calgary NE location and will be needing additional weekdays for another newer location in Calgary NW. More days and permanent position will be offered to the right candidate. This is your opportunity to join early and grow into the role to become full time hygienist as the new location gets busy.
Duties
- Perform thorough dental cleanings and assessments, including scaling and polishing teeth.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Assist in the management of patient records using GOLD/ OPEN DENTAL software.
- Collaborate with dentists to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive patient experience.
- Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.
Qualifications
- Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
- One year experience is preferred but training is available for new hygienist.
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, as this enhances communication with diverse patient populations.
- Knowledge of pediatric dentistry is beneficial for working with younger patients.
- Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on customer service excellence.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
