Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office, providing support in various administrative functions. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and experience in a healthcare setting, particularly within a dental office. The Administrator will be responsible for managing front desk operations, maintaining electronic medical records, and facilitating communication between patients and healthcare providers.
Duties
- Manage front desk operations, including greeting patients and answering phone calls.
- Schedule appointments and coordinate patient flow to ensure efficient office operations.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records using systems such as Dentrix and Epic.
- Process patient information and verify insurance details as needed.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Provide support to dental staff by preparing necessary documentation and assisting during procedures when required.
- Handle patient inquiries and resolve issues in a professional manner.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably within a dental office environment.
- Familiarity with medical terminology is essential; knowledge of dental terminology is a plus.
- Proficient in using electronic medical records systems, with experience in Dentrix or Epic preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact professionally with patients and staff.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in office administration or related field is advantageous.
