Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Receptionist/Dental Floater to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office by providing exceptional front desk support and administrative assistance. This position requires excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and manage the front desk operations with professionalism.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring optimal use of the dentist's time.
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical records systems such as Dentrix.
- Handle incoming phone calls, respond to inquiries, and address patient concerns with care.
- Process patient information and verify insurance coverage as needed.
- Assist with billing and payment processing, ensuring accuracy in transactions.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless patient flow and high-quality care.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and office.
- Assist both dentists and hygienists during examination (entering notes, charting)
- Set up and tear down of treatment rooms
- Organize dental instruments and equipment
- Perform additional duties as needed to support team
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a medical or dental office is preferred, particularly in a front desk role.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems such as Dentrix is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in using phone systems and standard office equipment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and providers in a professional manner.

Pay: $17.00-$21.00 per hour
