Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team. This position requires a proactive individual who is passionate about dentistry and committed to ensuring a positive experience for our patients.
Duties
As a Dental Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting the dentist during various procedures, including restorative, surgical, orthodontic and endodontic procedures.
- Taking dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Educating patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care to promote their overall dental health.
- Maintaining accurate patient records, sterilization and chair side assisting.
- Scheduling appointments and managing patient flow within the office, including handling any inquiries related to treatments or procedures.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
- MUST be a Certified Dental Assistant
- Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred, but new graduates welcome to apply
- Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures to effectively communicate with both patients and team members.
- Cleardent software experience an asset but not required. Training available
- A strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role.
