Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office while providing exceptional care to our patients. This position requires a blend of clinical skills and administrative support, making it essential for the overall success of our practice.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring a sterile environment and patient comfort.
- Prepare and organize treatment rooms, including sterilizing instruments and setting up necessary materials.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with charting during examinations.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently.
- Provide education to patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Handle administrative tasks such as billing, insurance verification, and managing patient inquiries.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred; familiarity with dental terminology is essential.
- Proficiency in using dental software such as Dentrix or Epic is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of orthodontics and pediatrics is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in both clinical and administrative tasks.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and staff professionally.
- Certification in dental assisting or relevant training is preferred; knowledge of CAD (Computer-Aided Design) is an advantage.
