Job Summary:
We are seeking a full-time Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our fun-loving and dedicated team. The ideal candidate will be reliable, energetic, self-motivated, positive, and friendly. We are open to training a new graduate who demonstrates the desired qualities and commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities:
Assist dentists during various dental procedures, including but not limited to examinations, cleanings, fillings, extractions, and root canals, implants, ortho and more.
Prepare and maintain dental instruments, equipment, and materials for use during procedures.
Ensure a clean and sterile environment by adhering to infection control protocols and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in the dental operatory.
Capture digital dental x-rays as per the dentist's instructions.
Provide chairside assistance to dentists, anticipating their needs and assisting in an efficient and effective manner.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, post-operative care, and dental treatment options.
Charting, recording treatment plans into Dentrix software, maintain accurate records of treatments provided.
Communicate effectively with patients, ensuring their comfort and addressing any concerns they may have.
Collaborate with other team members, including dentists, dental hygienists, and administrative staff, to ensure a smooth and coordinated workflow.

Requirements: Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) from the College of Alberta Dental Assistants (CADA). Proof of certification will be required.
Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology, as well as familiarity with dental instruments and equipment.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and team members.
Ability to maintain a positive and friendly attitude, creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for patients.
Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards.
Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and prioritize tasks accordingly.
Basic computer skills for maintaining patient records, and reviewing medical history.
Rate of pay is negotiated at the interview based on your skills and experience.
