We are seeking an experienced Dental Receptionist to become an integral part of our friendly and professional team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of dental reception experience to qualify for this role.
Key Qualifications
- Proven experience in a dental office environment.
- Strong telephone etiquette and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Accounts receivable and Microsoft Office experience.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a patient-focused approach.
- Knowledge of dental terminology and Tracker 11 software (an asset but not mandatory).
- Diploma in Office Administration (an asset but not mandatory).
Role Overview
This is a Full-time position (Monday to Friday with some Saturday mornings), reporting to the Clinical Operations Manager. The ideal candidate will assist with ensuring front office operations run efficiently and contribute to maintaining a welcoming environment for both staff and patients.
Primary Responsibilities
Patient Scheduling
- Manage appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations using Tracker 11 software.
- Maintain a full schedule for hygienists and doctors.
Patient Communication
- Communicate with patients via email, phone, and text to confirm or follow up on appointments.
- Assist patients with completing forms and answering inquiries.
Insurance and Payments
- Obtain detailed dental insurance breakdowns and submit treatment estimates.
- Process payments (Interac, e-transfer, personal cheques) and handle accounts receivable tasks.
Administrative Duties
- Update patient records with accuracy and ensure all necessary information is documented.
- Perform general office tasks, including answering a multi-line phone system, scanning, and faxing.
- Open and close the office, ensuring all necessary duties are completed.
Office Environment
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the reception and waiting areas.
- Collaborate with staff and doctors to ensure smooth office operations.

Pay: $24.00-$30.00 per hour
