Rideau Town Dental Care is a modern, patient-focused dental office serving the Kingston community. We are looking for a full-time Dental Hygiene Coordinator & Receptionist to join our friendly and professional team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with people, is highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Front Desk & Reception
- Greet and welcome patients warmly in person and on the phone.
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments.
- Manage patient intake, health history updates, and consent forms.
- Verify insurance, process billing, collect payments, and explain financial options.
- Answer phone calls, emails, and patient inquiries with professionalism.
- Maintain an organized and welcoming front office environment.
Hygiene Coordination
- Manage and optimize the hygiene schedule for efficiency and patient care.
- Organize patient recall/recare reminders, confirmations, and follow-ups.
- Ensure hygiene rooms are stocked with supplies, forms, and educational materials.
- Support patients with treatment plan coordination and pre-treatment estimates.
- Track and follow up on unscheduled treatments and pending cases.
- Work closely with hygienists and dentists to ensure seamless patient flow.
Qualifications:
- Experience with Dentrix dental software is required.
- Previous experience as a dental receptionist or hygiene coordinator is required.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Professional, friendly, and patient-centered attitude.
