We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients while ensuring their comfort and satisfaction. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a critical role in promoting oral health and educating patients on proper dental hygiene practices.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth
- Conduct patient assessments and record medical histories
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluoride treatments
- Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures when necessary
- Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix software
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service to enhance patient experience
Requirements
- Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist
- Experience with Dentrix software is preferred
- Knowledge of orthodontics and pediatrics is a plus
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply
- Previous dental assisting experience is beneficial
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dental care
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to providing outstanding patient care
