The Opportunity
We are looking for a Registered Dental Hygienist to join us for 1 to 2 days per week, which is approximately 7 to 14 hours. More shifts may become available as our practice continues to grow.
If you are waiting for your Alberta hygiene license, we can offer temporary work as a Dental Assistant or Sterilization Technician. This will help support our clinic during our assistant’s medical leave and gives you a chance to become familiar with our workflow and patients before moving into a hygiene position.
Office Hours
Monday: 11:00 am to 7:00 pm
Tuesday: Closed
Wednesday: 11:00 am to 7:00 pm
Thursday: 11:00 am to 7:00 pm
Friday: 9:00 am to 3:00 pm with early appointments available by request
Saturday: 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, 1 or 2 Saturdays per month
Sunday: Closed
Role Overview
You will work closely with our dentists to provide thorough hygiene care. We are a Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT) clinic and are happy to train the right candidate if you are new to GBT.
This position is suited for someone who:

Additional days or a longer-term role with benefits may be available as the practice becomes busier.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide hygiene services including scaling, polishing, and biofilm management using GBT
- Complete periodontal assessments and full-mouth charting
- Take digital x-rays and intraoral scans
- Provide education on preventive oral health
- Document treatment information in Open Dental
- Assist with sterilization and maintain infection control
- Help create a positive patient experience
- Work collaboratively with the clinical team
If awaiting licensure, temporary duties may include:
- Chairside assisting as permitted
- Sterilization and operatory turnover
- Patient support and comfort
- Basic administrative assistance
Responsibilities will be adjusted to match your license and comfort level.
Skills and Qualifications
- Registered Dental Hygienist with an active Alberta license
- Applicants awaiting Alberta licensure are also welcome
- Strong communication and clinical skills
- Familiarity with GBT is an asset, training is provided
- Comfortable with digital imaging
- Experience with Open Dental is an asset
- Reliable, professional, and patient-focused
