The Opportunity
We are looking for a Registered Dental Hygienist to join us 1–2 days per week (7–14 hours). Additional shifts may become available as our practice continues to grow.
New:
If you are awaiting licensure in Alberta, we can offer temporary work as a Dental Assistant or Sterilization Technician until your hygiene license is finalized.
This helps support our clinic during our dental assistant’s medical leave and gives you the chance to learn our systems, pace, and team culture.
Office Hours
- Monday: 11:00 am – 7:00 pm
- Tuesday: Closed
- Wednesday: 11:00 am – 7:00 pm
- Thursday: 11:00 am – 7:00 pm
- Friday: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm (7–9 am by appointment)
- Saturday: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm (1–2 Saturdays per month)
- Sunday: Closed
Role Overview
As a hygienist at our clinic, you will work closely with our dentists to provide thorough, thoughtful hygiene care. We are a Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT) office. Experience with GBT is helpful but not required, and training will be provided.
This position is ideal for someone who:

As our schedule fills, there may be opportunities for additional days or a transition into a longer-term role with benefits.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide hygiene care including scaling, polishing, and biofilm management using GBT
- Complete periodontal assessments and full-mouth charting
- Take digital x-rays and intraoral digital scans
- Educate patients on preventive and oral health practices
- Document findings and treatment in Open Dental
- Assist with sterilization and uphold infection control standards
- Create a warm, positive patient experience
- Collaborate closely with the clinical team
If awaiting licensure, temporary DA duties may include:
- Chairside assisting
- Sterilization and operatory turnover
- Digital x-rays within the limits of your current certification
- Supporting patient comfort
- Basic administrative assistance when needed
Responsibilities will be adjusted based on your current license and confidence level.
Skills and Qualifications
- Registered Dental Hygienist with an active Alberta license
OR in process of obtaining Alberta licensure (eligible for temporary DA work)
- Strong communication and clinical skills
- Familiarity with GBT is an asset, training provided
- Comfortable with digital imaging and intraoral photography
- Experience with Open Dental is an asset
