Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthodontic Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and assisting our orthodontist in delivering high-quality care to our patients. This position requires a strong understanding of orthodontics, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Assist orthodontist during procedures by preparing instruments and materials.
- Take photos and radiographs as needed.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental software systems.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow to ensure efficient office operations.
- Sterilize instruments and maintain a clean working environment in compliance with safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional service to patients of all ages.
Skills
- Registered Dental Assistant with Ortho Module required.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry and orthodontics.
- Understanding of pediatric dentistry principles to effectively communicate with younger patients.
- Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on patient care and comfort.
- Knowledge of Ortho2 practice management software is considered an asset, but not required as we will provide on site training.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 22 per week
