Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and manage the front desk operations efficiently.
- Answer phone calls promptly, schedule appointments, and handle inquiries.
- Maintain patient records accurately using electronic medical records systems.
- Process patient information and verify insurance details.
- Assist in managing office supplies and ensuring a clean, organized reception area.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure smooth patient flow and communication.
- Utilize dental terminology effectively to communicate with patients and staff.
- Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and correspondence.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar administrative role within a dental or medical office is preferred.
- Proficiency in using phone systems and office equipment.
- Familiarity with dental software applications such as PowerPractice and Dentrix is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of terminology related to dentistry.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to multitask in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality when handling patient information.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
