Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Dentist to join our established and growing dental practice as a part time Associate. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality dental care to patients across various age groups, including pediatrics, utilizing advanced dental technology and software. The Associate Dentist will be responsible for diagnosing, planning, and executing comprehensive dental treatments while maintaining the highest standards of care.
This position is 2 days a week - Thursdays 11-7 and Saturdays 8-3:30 pm - our practice is closed all long weekends.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose dental conditions through clinical examinations, radiographs, and patient history reviews
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients of all ages, including pediatric cases
- Perform a wide range of dental procedures such as fillings, crowns, root canals, extractions, and preventive care
- Educate patients on oral health practices and post-treatment care instructions
- Collaborate with dental hygienists, assistants, and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient care delivery
- Stay current with advancements in dental technology and techniques to enhance treatment quality
Qualifications
- DDS or DMD degree from an accredited institution
- Valid Alberta license to practice dentistry
- Proficiency in using iTero or other digital scanners
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively
