We’re looking for a dental administrator who will contribute to our welcoming atmosphere, support our clinicians, and help ensure a smooth and positive experience for all patients.
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have dental experience and a strong knowledge of AbelDent.
They will play a vital role in managing daily office operations within a busy dental practice. This position requires excellent communication skills, proficiency with electronic medical records, and experience in front desk and administrative functions. The Administrator will ensure smooth workflow, maintain accurate records, and provide exceptional support to both staff and patients.
Responsibilities
- Manage front desk operations, including greeting patients and scheduling appointments
- Handle multi-line phone systems efficiently, directing calls appropriately
- Maintain and update electronic medical records using AbelDent systems
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and document management
- Coordinate patient check-ins and check-outs while ensuring accuracy of patient information
- Support the dental or medical team by preparing necessary paperwork and documentation
- Ensure compliance with privacy regulations and office policies
- Manage inventory of office supplies and order as needed
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and visitors, addressing inquiries professionally
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a dental receptionist
- Proficiency with electronic records system AbelDent
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology
- Office experience including front desk duties, administrative support, and multi-line phone systems
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Prior experience working with medical or dental software is preferred but not required; training will be provided for specific systems
