Dental Assistant (Level II – NDAEB Certified)

Location: New Hamburg, Ontario
Role Type: Full-Time
Role Hours: Monday–Thursday 8am–5pm, Friday 8am–1pm

We are seeking a friendly, skilled, and team-oriented Level II Dental Assistant to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate is passionate about patient care, thrives in a collaborative setting, and enjoys contributing to a smooth and efficient clinical flow.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during examinations, treatments, and clinical procedures.
Prepare and set up trays, instruments, and materials prior to procedures.
Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays) in compliance with HARP regulations.
Provide chairside assistance including suctioning, passing instruments, and ensuring patient comfort.
Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and post-operative instructions.
Sterilize instruments and maintain operatories in accordance with IPAC and infection control standards.
Accurately document patient care in the practice management software.
Perform Level II duties such as impressions and whitening procedures where permitted.
Maintain supply inventory and communicate needs to the clinical lead or dentist.
Contribute to efficient patient flow and support the dental team across daily operations.

Compensation

Competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience

Qualifications

NDAEB-Certified Level II Dental Assistant (required)
HARP Certification (required)
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments
Experience with orthodontics or pediatrics is an asset
Familiarity with dental software (Tracker experience is highly desirable)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational ability and attention to detail
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
