Job Overview
We are a busy, patient-focused dental practice looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Hygiene Assistant to support our hygiene team and help keep our clinic running smoothly. You’ll be working with a friendly, supportive group of people in a fast-paced environment where the days truly fly by. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys staying organized, working behind the scenes, and supporting both clinicians and patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and turn over hygiene rooms efficiently throughout the day
- Restock hygiene rooms with supplies and ensure everything is ready for patient care
- Room sterilization and set-up
- Support sterilization processes, including instrument flow, ultrasonic use, and monitoring sterilizers
- Monitor schedules and assist with coordination of hygiene recall exams with dentists
- Help maintain smooth clinic flow by checking in with hygienists and assisting as needed
- Manage laundry (towels, blankets, and scrubs) as required
- Help with general clinic tasks such as unpacking deliveries and organizing supplies
- Support CDAs with room turnovers when needed, especially during busy times
- End-of-day cleaning and shutdown procedures for hygiene and sterilization areas

- Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Previous dental or clinical experience is an asset but not required — we are happy to train the right person

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $23.00-$24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 39 per week
