Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, promote oral health education, and support the overall efficiency of our dental team. This role offers an opportunity to work in a friendly, patient-focused environment with a commitment to high-quality dental services. The position requires a licensed hygienist with excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of dental procedures and patient care.
HOURS
Tuesdays 11am-7pm
Wednesdays 1pm-7pm
Thursdays 8am-4pm
Saturdays 9am-2pm
Responsibilities
- Perform professional dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Take and develop dental radiographs as needed for diagnosis and treatment planning
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies
- Assist in identifying oral health issues and communicate findings to the dentist
- Maintain accurate patient records using Maxident or similar dental management software
- Support the dental team with chair-side assistance during procedures when necessary as well as front-desk tasks
- Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed to maintain a safe environment
- Schedule follow-up appointments and coordinate patient care efficiently
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient questions and concerns with professionalism
Skills
- Proficiency in Maxident or other dental practice management software
- Knowledge of general dentistry procedures
- Experience in dental assisting is a plus, supporting seamless team collaboration
- Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively and foster trust
- Prior experience working in a dental office environment is preferred
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a compassionate approach to patient care

Pay: $48.00-$55.00 per hour
