Yonge & Merton Dental is looking for a well-rounded dental hygienist to join our small team in a long-established dental office in midtown Toronto, close to Davisville TTC station. General working schedule would be Monday to Thursday 8am-5pm, with opportunity to work Friday or Saturday as needed. Position start date is Feb 2nd, 2026.
Responsibilities:
- Patient intake and care: establish good rapport with patients, review and update medical history, dental history, periodontal charting, patient education of oral health
- Hygiene services: scaling, root planing, delivery of fluoride, pit and fissure sealants and whitening services such as Zoom. Take x-rays including FMX when needed, and intra-oral photos. Take impressions and/or scan with a 3D intra oral scanner when instructed to do so.
- Infection control and maintenance: general cleaning and disinfection of operatory and equipment, clean and sterilize tools and instruments, maintenance of tools and instruments, restock/order supplies as necessary
- Administrative: clinical notes, continue recall program by scheduling patients by phone/e-mail, general administrative work on downtime to help reception
- CE: participate in in-office training as necessary
Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of dental hygiene working experience in Canada
- Dental hygiene license (in good standing)
- HARP certification
- Tracker software experience preferred, but can train
- Excellent communication skills, friendly, personable
- Computer knowledge
