We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our friendly, patient-centered team at The Village Dentist. Our practice is built on trust, comfort, and a strong sense of community, and we take pride in creating a welcoming environment where patients of all ages feel at ease.
As a Dental Hygienist at The Village Dentist, you will play an important role in supporting our patients’ oral health while building meaningful, long-term relationships. You will work closely with our dentists and team members to deliver gentle, high-quality care and to educate patients on maintaining healthy smiles for life.
Duties
- Provide thorough yet gentle dental cleanings and oral health assessments
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed
- Educate patients and families on oral hygiene techniques, nutrition, and preventive care
- Accurately manage patient records using Dentrix software
- Collaborate with the caring team at The Village Dentist to ensure a positive patient experience
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment in accordance with safety and infection-control protocols
- Communicate warmly and clearly with patients, addressing questions and concerns with empathy
Office Hours:
Mondays & Tuesdays: 11:00am-7:00pm
Wednesday: 9:00am-5:00pm
Thursday: 9:00am - 6:00pm
Saturdays (2 per week): 9:00am -3:00pm
Experience
- Licensed Dental Hygienist; new graduates are warmly encouraged to apply
- Previous experience in a dental office setting is an asset
- Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with a genuine passion for patient care
- Familiarity with dental assisting practices is beneficial for effective teamwork
