Responsibilities
- Assist dentist during a variety of dental procedures.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring an aseptic environment in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Take dental radiographs (X-ray), including digital imaging.
- Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) system ensuring accurate documentation of medical history, treatment plans, and medical coding.
- Support patients by taking vital signs, explaining procedures, and providing pre- and post-treatment instructions with clear communication of dental terminology.
- Maintain a clean and organized clinic environment by following infection control standards and proper disposal of contaminated materials.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting with knowledge of general dentistry procedures.
- Familiarity with EMR systems.
- Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures.
- Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines and medical imaging tools confidently.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
