Overview:
Periodontal speciality clinic in west Calgary is seeking an experienced dental hygienist to join our team for a part-time schedule, Monday - Wednesday.
Requirements:
Current licensure with the College of Registered Dental Hygienists of Alberta.
Friendly, personable, self-motivated individual with a positive attitude, and a team player.
Proficiency in use of injectable local anesthetic.
Minimum 5 years of experience is strongly recommended, as this position requires management of complex periodontal cases.
Duties include but not limited to:
Proficiency in oral lesion screening, taking intra-oral radiographs and photographs, periodontal probing and charting.
Proficiency in hand and Cavitron® instrumentation.
Proficiency in patient communication, especially in reviewing need for proposed treatment, patient education, and review and demonstration of home care oral hygiene techniques.
Familiarity with Mac computers is an asset.
No evening or weekend work required.
