Job responsibilities:
- Performing Preventative Care.
- Conduct thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, root planning, and polishing of teeth.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required.
- Assess and monitor patients’ oral health and document any concerns or issues.
- Assist the dentist with the identification of oral health issues, such as cavities, gum disease, or other abnormalities.
- Ensure a sterile and safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols.
- Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety regulations and the guidelines of the CDHO and public health authorities.
Education & Certification:
- Graduation from an accredited Dental Hygiene program.
- Active registration with the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario (CDHO).
- Current CPR and First Aid certification are a plus.
Experience:
- 1 year experience in a similar role is preferred, but new graduates are also encouraged to apply.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to handle the physical demands of the job, including lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds, bending, and assisting with patient movement when necessary.
