Job Summary
We are seeking a hard working, dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with dental procedures, and ensuring smooth office operations. Experience with dental software such as Dentrix is highly valued. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where professionalism and compassion are essential.
Duties
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments in accordance with safety protocols
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, including orthodontic and pediatric treatments
- Take X-rays
- Experience managing patient records using Dentrix, Curve, or other dental software systems
- Provide pre- and post-operative instructions to patients
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for patients
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient inquiries, supporting the dental receptionist role when needed
- Educate patients on oral health care and treatment plans using dental terminology appropriate for patient understanding
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of dental assisting experience
- Strong clinical skills and chairside support
- Professional, reliable, and team-oriented
- Positive Attitude and Team Player
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a busy clinical setting
- Adaptibility
- Certification in dental assisting required
- Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach to patient care
- Excellent patient communication and organization skills
Schedule:
- Some evenings
- Early mornings
- Saturdays
