Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice for a part-time position. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dental hygiene, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to work efficiently within a team. Dental hygiene experience is preferred but we are happy to welcome new graduates with the right attitude. Duties
- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Take and develop dental radiographs as needed
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies
- Assist with patient examinations and record findings accurately in the dental management system (Abeldent preferred)
- Provide support during dental procedures, including preparing instruments and ensuring patient comfort
- Manage patient inquiries with professionalism and provide excellent customer service
- Maintain sterilization protocols and ensure the cleanliness of treatment areas
- Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to deliver comprehensive patient care
- Support pediatric patients and manage special needs cases with patience and care
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $46.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 24 per week
