Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, supporting the dental team, and ensuring a positive experience for all patients. This role offers an opportunity to work in a friendly, professional environment with a focus on comprehensive oral health. Candidates with experience in dental office operations and a passion for patient education are encouraged to apply. Our office is an established family clinic. We have excellent hours 7am-3pm and take lunch every day. Looking for someone Monday-Thursday and Fridays as well if preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Take dental radiographs as needed
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
- Assist the dentist during examinations
- Maintain accurate patient records using AkituOne or similar dental management software
- Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed to maintain a safe environment
- Help with sterilization practices
- Manage patient scheduling, answer questions, and provide excellent customer service throughout their visit
- Support the dental team with administrative tasks related to patient care and office operations
Experience
- Previous experience working in a dental office setting is preferred
- Knowledge of dental procedures and medical terminology is highly desirable
- Experience with dental practice management software is a plus
- Familiarity with orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures enhances effectiveness in this role
- Strong customer service skills combined with professionalism and empathy are essential for success in this position
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $57.00-$65.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
