Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and passionate Ocular Hygienist who also hold a Medical Aesthetician Certification to join our growing medical optometry practice. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, independent professional who enjoys combining ocular health with advanced aesthetic treatments and delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform ocular hygiene treatments and patient education related to eye and skin health
- Deliver dry eye and medical aesthetic procedures, including:
- IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) treatments (knowledge of Lumenis M22 or OptiLight beneficial)
- Radiofrequency treatments using bipolar and tripolar devices
- Skin analysis and Chemical peels (Knowledge of Biophora products beneficial)
- Microneedling
- Plasma based therapies
- Low level light therapy
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation
- Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and clinical protocols
- Provide a professional, caring, and comfortable patient experience
Qualifications & Requirements
- Certified Ocular Hygienist
- Medical Aesthetician Certificate (required)
- Proven hands-on experience with IPL, radiofrequency treatments, micro needling, chemical peels, and skin analysis
- Strong knowledge of skin physiology, ocular health, and aesthetic technologies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional, compassionate, and patient-focused attitude
