Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing front desk operations with efficiency and a friendly demeanor. This role involves handling patient scheduling, insurance processing, and maintaining accurate medical records, ensuring a smooth and welcoming patient experience. Experience with dental office procedures and electronic medical records is highly valued.

Responsibilities

Greet patients warmly and manage check-in/check-out processes at the front desk
Schedule appointments using dental practice management software such as Dentrix and Epic
Verify patient insurance information and process claims efficiently
Maintain accurate patient records in electronic medical records systems
Answer multi-line phone systems professionally, addressing patient inquiries and appointment requests
Collect payments and explain treatment plans to patients
Assist with administrative tasks including filing, faxing, and correspondence
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
Coordinate with dental staff to facilitate smooth daily operations

Experience

Prior dental office experience preferred, including familiarity with front desk procedures
Experience with electronic dental software systems an asset.
Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental care is a plus
Strong office experience, including administrative skills in a busy environment
Excellent communication skills, especially in managing multi-line phone systems
Ability to handle administrative responsibilities efficiently while providing exceptional customer service

Candidate must travel to Winnipeg for a 2 week unpaid training. Airfare will be provided.
