We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality preventive dental care, educating patients on oral health, and supporting the overall patient experience. Responsibilities
- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Take digital radiographs as needed
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies
- Assist with patient assessments and record keeping using dental software such as Dentrix
- Support the dentist during examinations
- Address patient questions and concerns with professionalism and empathy
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a positive patient experience, especially when working with pediatric or orthodontic patients
Skills
- Proficiency in dental software such as Dentrix is highly preferred
- Experience with orthodontics, pediatrics, or dental assisting is a plus
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages
- Knowledge of infection control standards and sterilization techniques
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $56.00-$64.83 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 7 per week
Work Location: In person
