Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Level II Dental Assistant to join our dynamic Orthodontic team. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge in Orthodontic procedures and be proficient in utilizing dental software and equipment. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, including chairside assisting for general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry
- Perform X-ray imaging , take impressions, scan patients
- Implement aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients.
- Manage dental clinic operations including scheduling appointments, handling medical coding, and providing support as a dental receptionist when necessary.
- Operate 3D scanners for advanced imaging as required by specific procedures.
- Maintain knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy to effectively communicate with both patients and staff.
- Provide exceptional patient care by addressing concerns, educating patients on oral health practices, and ensuring comfort during treatments.
Experience
- Proven experience in dental assisting with a strong background in pediatric dentistry preferred.
The position is for Whitby - Monday and Thursdays
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
