Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, assist with dental procedures, and promote oral health education. Experience with Tracker and orthodontics is preferred, along with strong customer service skills and bilingual abilities.
Duties
- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Take and develop dental radiographs as needed
- Provide oral health education and personalized care instructions to patients
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow
- Maintain accurate patient records using Tracker or similar dental management software
- Manage patient scheduling, answer questions, and ensure a positive patient experience
- Sterilize dental instruments and maintain a clean, organized treatment area
- Support pediatric patients by creating a friendly environment tailored to their needs
- Stay current with dental best practices and participate in ongoing professional development
- Input treatment plans into patient file
Qualifications
- Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of practice
- Prior experience in a dental office setting is preferred
- Knowledge of Tracker or other dental practice management software
- Familiarity with orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures is advantageous
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dentistry
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations
- Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with a broader patient base
- Previous experience in dental assisting or related roles is beneficial but not required
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Hours
- Monday 7:30am to 4pm
- Tuesday 7:30am to 4pm
- Wednesday 7:30am to 4pm
- Thursday 7:30am to 4pm
- Friday 7:30am to 2:30pm
Pay: $50.00-$55.00 per hour
