Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice to cover a maternity leave starting May 2026. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality preventive dental care, educating patients on oral health, and supporting the overall patient experience. Duties
- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Take and develop dental radiographs as needed
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records using Opes dental management software
- Manage patient questions and concerns with professionalism and empathy
- Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed in accordance with OSHA standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile clinical environment
Qualifications
- Valid Dental Hygienist license in good standing
- Must be fluent in English
- Previous experience in dental assisting or working in a dental office setting is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dental care is preferred
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a caring demeanor are essential for success in this role
Pay: $47.00-$50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 35.0 per week
