Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Dental Office Manager in the Niagara region to oversee the daily operations of our dental practice, with a strong emphasis staff supervision. The ideal candidate will have prior dental office experience, strong knowledge of insurance billing and collections, and the ability to lead and support front desk staff in delivering excellent patient service.
This role combines financial oversight, team management, and front office coordination to ensure the practice runs efficiently and maintains healthy receivables.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable & Financial Management
- Manage and monitor accounts receivable, including patient balances and outstanding insurance claims
- Follow up with insurance companies regarding unpaid, delayed, or denied claims
- Coordinate patient billing, payment plans, and collections in a professional and compassionate manner
- Review insurance submissions for accuracy and ensure proper claim processing
- Maintain accurate financial records and track aging reports
- Work to reduce outstanding balances and improve collection timelines
Office Operations
- Oversee the daily operations of the dental office and front desk
- Ensure efficient patient scheduling and smooth patient flow
- Implement and maintain office systems and procedures
- Maintain compliance with office policies and industry standards
Team Leadership
- Supervise and support front desk and administrative staff
- Assist with staff scheduling, training, and performance management
- Foster a positive, professional, and patient-focused office culture
Patient Experience
- Handle patient inquiries and concerns regarding billing, insurance, and scheduling
- Ensure a high level of customer service and patient satisfaction
Qualifications
- Previous dental office experience required
- Experience with accounts receivable, insurance billing, and collections
- Knowledge of dental insurance processes and claim management
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Leadership or office management experience preferred
- Proficiency with dental practice management software is an asset
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $28.00-$34.00 per hour
