Position Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic, patient‑centered Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our pediatric dental team. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, is compassionate, detail‑oriented, and thrives in a supportive team environment.
Schedule
This part‑time position follows a consistent weekly schedule:
- Tuesday: 9:45 AM – 6:15 PM
- Thursday: 9:45 AM – 6:15 PM
- Friday: 7:45 AM – 4:15 PM
- Saturday: 7:45 AM – 4:15 PM
Responsibilities
- Provide high‑quality dental hygiene care including assessments, scaling, polishing, fluoride, and radiographs
- Offer education and support to children and families on preventive oral health
- Maintain accurate and thorough clinical records
- Assist in creating positive, safe, and comfortable experiences for pediatric patients
- Collaborate closely with our pediatric dental team to ensure smooth clinic flow
- Follow sterilization and infection control protocols
Qualifications
- Active RDH license in Alberta
- CPR certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working with children of all ages
- Pediatric experience is an asset but not required—training is provided
