Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dentist to join our dental clinic team in Lac La Biche Smiles Dental. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care and possess expertise in various dental procedures, including prosthodontics and root canal therapy. As a Dentist, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating dental issues while ensuring the highest standards of infection control and aseptic technique.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive dental examinations and assessments to diagnose oral health issues.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients, focusing on their specific needs and preferences.
- Perform a variety of dental procedures, including restorative work, root canal therapy, and dental fabrication.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care to promote long-term health.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to infection control protocols.
- Collaborate with dental hygienists, assistants, and other staff members to provide exceptional patient care.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in dentistry and incorporate best practices into daily operations.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid state dental license to practice dentistry.
- Proficiency in prosthodontics, root canal therapy, and other general dentistry procedures.
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
- Experience using Dentrix or similar dental office management software is preferred.
- Strong commitment to patient care with excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of infection control standards and aseptic techniques in a clinical setting.
- Previous experience in a dental clinic environment is an advantage.
