Position Overview
The Practice Lead is the primary point of contact for all day-to-day clinical and administrative operations within the practice. This role sets the pace, culture, and goals of the clinic while ensuring operations run efficiently and meet industry standards. The Practice Lead serves as the main liaison between practice staff and upper management, providing coaching, leadership, and ongoing communication. They are responsible for staff support, problem resolution, patient experience oversight, and maintaining consistent operational performance.

Key Responsibilities
· Practice Operations
Oversee daily and monthly clinic operations
Ensure the practice runs at full capacity and meets industry standards
Maintain open communication with upper management
Provide monthly operational and production reports
Be actively present and engaged in the practice
· Staff & Associate Management
Act as the main point of contact for team concerns and questions
Lead by example and support team performance
Provide general team coaching and feedback
Identify and support the development of new team members
Assist in recognizing underperforming team members in collaboration with management
Coordinate daily morning huddles
Facilitate monthly team and department meetings
Support cross-training of staff and fill in where needed
· Scheduling & Production
Manage and oversee the clinic schedule to ensure staffing aligns with practice needs
Oversee schedule coordination for hygiene and treatment coordinators
Conduct production forecasting and ensure goals are met
Lead new patient acquisition efforts
Oversee accounts receivable (AR)
· Patient Care & Experience
Follow up on patient concerns or issues
Support a positive patient experience through efficient operations and team support
· Protocol, Policy, & Training Oversight
Ensure all office protocols and manuals are accessible and reviewed by employees
Support new staff orientation and onboarding
Implement monthly team strategy meetings
Ensure equipment and materials are used appropriately and according to manufacturer guidelines
Qualifications
Minimum 3-5 years of previous leadership experience in a dental or clinical environment (preferred)
Strong understanding of dental clinic operations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to coach, mentor, and support staff
Strong organizational and time-management abilities
Ability to work in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment
Knowledge of scheduling systems, production forecasting, and dental workflows.
Experience working with Tracker.
Work Conditions
On-site role within a dental clinical environment
Requires regular interaction with staff, patients, and upper management
Must be available during clinic hours and for occasional meetings outside standard hours
Role requires being active and present within the practice (not a remote or administrative-only position)
May require flexibility to support multiple operational needs throughout the day
