Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. Duties
- Perform thorough dental cleanings and assessments for patients, including scaling and polishing teeth.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Assist in the management of patient records using Dentrix or similar dental software.
- Collaborate with dentists to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Provide support in pediatric dentistry, ensuring children feel comfortable during their visits.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, addressing any concerns or questions regarding their dental health.
- Assist with orthodontic procedures as necessary.
Qualifications
- Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
- Experience in a dental office setting is preferred; familiarity with Dentrix is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with patients.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry.
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, as this can enhance patient communication.
- Experience in pediatric dentistry and orthodontics is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
