Job Summary (This job is in the town of Masset in the island of Haida Gawaii)
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Fully Certified Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the dental team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with procedures, and ensuring smooth daily operations. Experience with dental software such as Maxident, as well as familiarity with orthodontics, pediatrics, and CAD technology, will be highly valued. Benefits: Offering a one time $2000.00 relocation benefit with a minimum 2 Year Contract. Immigration Assistance/LMIA might be available for a 3 year plus committment depending upon circumstances.
Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments to ensure a safe and efficient environment
- Assist the dentist during various procedures including orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry
- Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD technology when necessary
- Manage patient records accurately using Practice Management software systems
- Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with health and safety standards
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow as a dental receptionist when needed
- Educate patients on oral health care practices and post-treatment instructions
Requirements
- Proven experience in dental assisting, with knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry
- Familiarity with dental software .
- Experience working with orthodontics, pediatrics, or in a general dental setting is a plus
- Knowledge of CAD technology ( EG Itero Intraoral Scanner) used in dental imaging or restorations is a must
- Strong communication skills and the ability to provide compassionate patient care
- Certification in dental Assisting In British Columbia Is Mandatory.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Prior experience as a dental receptionist or in administrative roles within healthcare settings is beneficial

Pay: $36.00-$38.00 per hour
