Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing appointment scheduling, patient check-in and check-out, and administrative tasks. This role requires excellent communication skills, familiarity with dental office procedures, and proficiency with electronic medical records systems. The Dental Receptionist plays a vital role in ensuring a smooth patient experience and supporting the overall efficiency of the dental practice.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out procedures
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using ClearDent software
- Manage multi-line phone systems to answer inquiries and direct calls appropriately
- Verify patient insurance information and update electronic medical records accurately
- Collect payments and process billing transactions efficiently
- Maintain organized patient records in compliance with privacy regulations
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless daily operations
- Handle administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and correspondence
- Assist with front desk duties including managing waiting areas and patient flow
Skills
- Proven experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a dental office setting
- Proficiency with ClearDent dental software
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental care
- Experience working with electronic medical records (EMRs) systems
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently
- Office experience in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating organizational skills
- Familiarity with medical office procedures and administrative tasks
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining professionalism and friendliness
