Dental Assistant – Full Time
We are currently seeking a full-time Dental Assistant for our Community Dental Clinic with flexible hours, Monday through Friday, occasionally weekends and possible weeknights.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Reporting to the Director, Clinical Services
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure instruments and equipment are sterilized in accordance with RCDSO and Public Health Ontario standards
- Assist the dentist during a variety of clinical procedures (e.g., restorations, extractions, crowns, root canals)
- Take and process dental radiographs (HARP certification required in Ontario)
- Prepare and maintain dental materials and instruments for procedures
- Provide chairside support using four-handed dentistry techniques
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment instructions
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with PHIPA
- Ensure infection prevention and control (IPAC) protocols are strictly followed
- Manage appointment flow and support front desk duties as needed
- Monitor inventory levels and order dental supplies as required
- Provide compassionate, professional care to patients of all ages
Key Competencies Required For This Position
- Completion of Certified Dental Assistant program Level II, with minimum of two years related experience.
- HARP certified.
- Working knowledge of ABELDent preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills

COMPENSATION:
The wage range for this exciting opportunity is $22.54-24.68 per hour.Selected candidates will be appropriately placed on the organizations wage grid based on skill, knowledge and experience.*

- Tuition reimbursement of up to $2,000 may be considered for the right candidate, subject to applicable conditions.
