Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented ECG Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing electrocardiograms (ECGs) to assist in diagnosing cardiac conditions. This role requires strong technical skills, familiarity with medical terminology, and experience working in medical or dental office environments. The ECG Technician will play a vital role in supporting physicians and ensuring accurate patient assessments. Prior experience with electronic medical records and office management systems is highly valued, along with excellent communication skills for front desk and administrative duties.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for ECG procedures, explaining the process clearly and professionally
- Operate ECG equipment accurately to record heart activity
- Ensure proper placement of electrodes and monitor patient comfort during procedures
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all ECG tests performed using electronic medical records systems
- Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow within the clinic or office setting
- Support front desk operations, including answering multi-line phone systems and greeting patients
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure timely delivery of diagnostic results
- Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of ECG equipment and related devices
- Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and managing patient information securely
Requirements
- Prior experience working in a medical or dental office environment preferred, especially with electronic medical records systems such as Epic or Dentrix
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to cardiology and general healthcare settings
- Experience as a dental receptionist or in office administration is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with patients and staff
- Ability to work accurately under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Certification or training in ECG procedures is desirable but not mandatory
- Prior experience with office equipment, including multi-line phones and computer systems, is preferred
- Must be Bilingual
Pay: From $21.00 per hour
