Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will be a team player and hold a crucial role in supporting our dental team and ensuring a positive experience for our patients. This position requires a proactive individual who is passionate about providing high-quality dental care and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. A medical background is an asset and a positive attitude is a must have!
Duties
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, including orthodontics and pediatrics, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment before and after procedures.
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist.
- Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix or similar dental software, ensuring all medical terminology is correctly documented.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Manage appointment scheduling and assist with front desk duties as needed, including answering phones and greeting patients.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.
- Stay current with best practices in dental assisting, including CAD technologies.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the Dental Field is preferred but not essential. Dental Assistant Training and Continuing Education will be provided.
- Proficiency in using Dentrix or similar dental practice management software is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor when interacting with patients and team members.
- Certification in Dental Assisting or relevant qualifications is an asset but not mandatory.
- A willingness to learn new skills and adapt to evolving technologies in the dental field.

Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour
