Job Description
We are currently seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist to join our practice on a temporary basis to provide maternity leave coverage. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a professional, patient-focused clinical environment alongside a supportive and collaborative team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality preventive dental hygiene care while maintaining a strong standard of professionalism, patient comfort, and clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Preform dental hygiene procedures including scaling, polishing, and preventive treatments
- Conduct oral health assessments and accurately document findings
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and and preventive care
- Maintain accurate clinical records and charting ( our clinic uses the Dentrix software system)
- Adhere to infection prevention and sterilization protocols
- Collaborate effectively with the dentist and clinical staff
Qualifications & Requirements
- BCCOHP registration required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional, reliable, and detail-oriented
- Commitment to patient care and high clinical standards
Position Details
- Temporary position - maternity leave coverage
- Start date: June 1, 2026 - August 31, 2027 (start date negotiable)
- Schedule: Monday - Thursday 7.5 hour days
- Compensation: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour
- Assistance with rent
