Key responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive general dentistry to patients of all ages
- Diagnose and develop appropriate treatment plans based on patient needs
- Perform general dental procedures including diagnostic, restorative, preventative, and emergency care ensuring patient comfort
- Educate patients and families on oral health and treatment options
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical records
- Collaborate effectively with dentists, hygienists, assistants, and administrative team members
- Uphold high standards of infection prevention and patient safety following regulations
- Build long-term patient trust and relationships through exceptional care and communication
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited DDS/DMD Program or successful completion of the National Dental Examining Board of Canada (NDEB) Equivalency exam/process
- Licensed and in good standing with the Alberta Dental Association or eligible for licensure
- Valid BLS certification
- New graduates and experienced dentists are welcome to apply
- A satisfactory vulnerable Sector Search is required prior to first day of work
Skills and attributes
- Demonstrated competence in general dentistry with additional competence in implant surgery, endodontics, crown and bridge, invisalign an asset
- Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to create trusting patient relationships
- Demonstrated skill in patient teaching resulting in adoption of appropriate treatment plans
- Commitment to person centred care, continuous quality improvement, and clinical excellence
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment modelling a positive attitude, adaptability, a strong work ethic and professionalism
- Resilient, thriving in a fast paced environment where efficiency is key
- Strong written, verbal English communication skills
