Associate Dentist (Full-Time or Part-Time)

Duties & Responsibilities
- Clinical Excellence: Perform a comprehensive range of general dental procedures, including diagnostic examinations, restorations, crowns, bridges, extractions, and preventive care.
- Treatment Planning: Diagnose oral conditions using precise clinical assessments and digital radiographs; design and implement customized, evidence-based treatment plans.
- Team Collaboration: Partner seamlessly with dental hygienists, assistants, and administrative staff to ensure an efficient, smooth patient flow.
- Advanced Technology: Utilize modern practice tools and digital charting systems for accurate, efficient patient record keeping.
- Patient Education: Educate patients empathetically on oral hygiene practices, diverse treatment options, and post-operative care to promote long-term wellness.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to all CDSA infection prevention and control standards, occupational health and safety protocols, and professional healthcare guidelines.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Academic Degree: Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from an accredited university program.
- Licensure: Active license (or eligibility to register) and in good standing with the College of Dental Surgeons of Alberta (CDSA) with a valid Alberta Practice Permit.
- Board Certification: Successful completion and certification by the National Dental Examining Board of Canada (NDEB) (new grads currently finalizing their board registration are welcome to apply).
- Technical Precision: Demonstrated skill or academic training in interpreting digital radiographs and executing clinical procedures with high attention to detail.
- Communication: Compassionate, clear communication style capable of explaining complex treatment plans and medical terminology to patients empathetically.
- Compliance Assets: Current Health Care Provider (HCP) / Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification and valid professional malpractice liability insurance.
