Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team in Kamloops, B.C. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring the seamless operation of our dental practice. This position requires a proactive individual with strong communication and time management skills and a passion for working with patients of all ages, including children.

Duties

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to established protocols.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the office.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient office operations.
Handle administrative tasks such as billing, insurance verification, and inventory management.

Experience
Candidates should possess experience or knowledge in the following areas:

Proficiency in dental assisting techniques and procedures.
Familiarity with dental software such as Dentrix, Cleardent or Power Practice is preferred.
Understanding of medical terminology related to dental care.
Previous experience as a dental receptionist and/or dental assistant.
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
